Dr. Hank Bussa is a native Houstonian and
began his practice in the Alief area in 1977.
Since then, he has seen over 6,000 patients
from Houston and the surrounding area, as
far reaching as Corpus Christi, Austin, and
Dallas. Dr. Bussa’s relocation to Cinco Ranch in
2003 was a natural transition for his practice.
He has lived in West Houston since 1980, and
both of his daughters attended Mayde Creek
Junior High and High School, K.I.S.D. In
addition to his devotion to his orthodontic
practice, Dr. Bussa maintains a distinguished
career as an Associate Clinical Professor at
the University of Texas Health and Science
Center at Houston. By teaching, mentoring,
and attending extensive continuing education courses, he continues to
keep his practice on the cutting edge of orthodontic technology
and development. Dr. Bussa met his wife Cathy Bond Bussa during his graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, Cathy teaches studio art at St. Francis Episcopal School. They have two daughters, Laura Bond and Cara Lynn. Laura earned an engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and now works at NASA. Cara studied philosophy and religion at the University of Virginia and received her Masters in Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Dr. Bussa is a member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. He enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters, sons-in-law, and grand-dogs. Whenever possible, he heads to South Texas to bow hunt and goes on fishing trips with his friends. As a father, a teacher, and a doctor, Dr. Bussa appreciates hearing of his patients’ interests and endeavors and seeks to encourage young people to pursue their goals. Understanding the value of self esteem, Dr. Bussa says that, “helping patients attain a more positive self image is one of the most rewarding aspects of orthodontics.” Dr. Bussa is a Member of the American Association of Orthodontists and was elected the Southwest's Society's president. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics."
